The public can report gang information to the Worcester County Sheriff's Office at 410-632-1111.

Worcester County is located on the eastern shore of Maryland adjacent to Somerset and Wicomico counties and is bordered by Delaware, Virginia and the Atlantic Ocean. According to the 2000 census, the population is approximately 46,500. Most of the county is rural, with the major exception of the resort of Ocean City and surrounding suburbs. Police report no gang related crime.

During the summer, the large tourist crowds may include gang members from gangs such as MS-13 and Outlaw Motorcycle Gangs. However, there have been no reports of gang related crime.

If a parent is concerned about a child as potentially being involved in gangs, the first resource is the child’s school counselor or pupil personnel worker. For a list of school telephone numbers, please consult list of schools. Find the “Our Schools” button in the middle of the red taskbar and scroll down to your school.
