The public can report gang information to the Kent County Sheriff’s Office at 410-778-2278 or 410-778-2279.

Kent County is located on the eastern shore of Maryland adjacent to Cecil and Queen Anne’s counties and is bordered by the Chesapeake Bay and Delaware. According to the 2000 census, the population is approximately 19,000. Most of the county is rural and police report no gang activity.

If a parent is concerned about a child as potentially being involved in gangs, the first resource is the child’s school counselor or pupil personnel worker. For a list of school telephone numbers, please consult list of schools.
